Special Issue The March 2008 issue was a special issue on the subject 'Assessment Frameworks, Indicators and Metrics: Part 2'.
Subject coverage
Engineering Sustainability aims to assist our professions, and the wider community, to change the way we work to deliver more sustainable solutions for the benefit of all. It features refereed papers and shorter articles relating to the pursuit and implementation of sustainability principles through engineering planning, design and application. Engineering is interpreted in the widest sense to include topics such as urban regeneration, creation of new built environment and adaptation of the natural environment; sustainability in urban and rural contexts; and efficiency in the use of natural resources. The tensions between and integration of social, economic and environmental considerations within such schemes are of particular relevance. Methodologies for assessing sustainability, policy issues, education and corporate responsibility will also be included.
The aims will be met primarily by providing authoritative, stimulating, perceptive papers and briefing notes (including case histories and best practice guidance) of use to decision-makers, practitioners, researchers and students.
Engineering Sustainability publishes four issues per year: March, June, September and December. ISSN 1478-4629 (Print) ISSN 1751-7680 (Online)
